My Best Friend's Wedding: Engagement Party

Y'all, my very best friend is getting married!
 {Insert girly squeal here}
{Eeeeeeeee!!!!!}

Let's start in the beginning, Jana and I met on the 1st day of 6th grade
at Trinity School of Midland.
Sweet little Jana offered to walk and wait with me in the carpool line at the end of the day.
Good thing she did because my turd brother, Ryan, 'forgot' to pick me up!
She walked me to the office where I called my mom and she waited with me until my mom got there to pick me up.
We were inseparable from that day.
We spent the next 5 years like magnets to each other. We talked on the phone from the moment we got home from school, would race as we took showers, and talked until bed time.
We cheered, played basketball, and hid under the table in geography class together.
We spent almost every weekend on the double decker cow hide couch.
Junior year of high school came and I made the decision to Midland High and Jana made the decision to go to boarding school.
Distance didn't matter one bit, we were still inseparable.
She came home often and I took trips to visit her in Washington D.C.
I went to her high school graduation and tagged along to her senior trip to Myrtle Beach.
College rolled around and we were still in different cities, yet distance still didn't matter.
We made many road trips to see each other (and plane rides to see Olivia)  and were both at each other's college graduations.
Some friends in this life you just 'get'. We just 'get' each other. In so many ways we are so different and in so many ways we are just alike.
We're kindred souls.
We've walked through the happiest and darkest times of our lives together.
Olivia (our other BFF) and I were Jana's 1st phone call after she got engaged, we went to camps together, ski trips together, almost every step of life we have walked through together.
I was there the day she had hundred of stitches sewn into her gorgeous face and there the day she got home from back surgery.
She stood by me the day I got married and was there the day Eli was born.
She has walked through the countless tragedies I've faced in my life and knew to just show up after my mom passed away.
We've had the happiest of conversations and the worst of conversations but she and I are
Ride or Die.
We're family.

So here is a peak at my darling Jana's engagement party.
What a thrill it is to celebrate the love her and Chris have.
It's that true love stuff, y'all!
